Sandhan Foundation acts as a centre for media documentation; media education; studies and research; and serves as a media archives on ecology, archeology and heritage. Its focus is on environmentally sound sustainable development processes.

The foundation promotes awareness on developmental media documentation on ecology, environment, land degradation, drought and desertification, renewable energy and sustainable economic growth.

It also strives to promote effective management and sustainable use of natural resources, conservation of the biodiversity through a participatory process of development augmented by greater access to information
and knowledge.

The foundation promotes all forms of mass communication in order to enhance the understanding within the broad framework of social, cultural, economic, and environmental development.

The
Thin Framework

A docufeature in 16 mm eastman color, of 57 min 47 sec, depicts Mangrove Ecosystem of Bhitarakanika, on the east-coast of Orissa, which harbors the largest known rookery of endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in the world.
